Having an After School Art class allows for time to do some pretty big projects that take multiple people and weeks worth of work to complete. The image above of Mr. Dennett was inspired by Ian Sands, an Art teacher in North Carolina and a project he does with his Art I students.
This picture of Mr. Dennett is now on display in the upstairs hall next to his room. You will notice that it is made of 2x2 inch squares the students cut and pasted, working off of an image they manipulated in Photoshop to get the color and pixels into the image.
This was a fun process that the students look forward to replicating; who will be next? You will have to wait and see...
