I had a great time this weekend with my students who are going to London next summer.

We sold many items at our booth at Byron Days and the funds will be used to help pay for this great learning opportunity offered though EFTours in 2013 to London and Paris.

I am also happy and proud to report that in this month's issue of SchoolArts Magazine, you will find artwork by upcoming 8th grader Jessica Marsh! Her collage was chosen as a clip card and is a great example of what can be done with collage - GREAT WORK, Jessica!!!

Please visit my booth today at Byron Days in downtown Byron Center in Bi-Centennial Park behind the library. My booth features all kinds of hand-made goods that include the items above and much more! All proceeds will be used to help fund the London 2012 trip for Visual Arts students. stop-motion music video

I am a HUGE Coldplay fan and was delighted when I came across this video from their new album of the song "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall." It combines graffiti art, neon glowing murals, and stop motion filming as a way to draw wonderfully transforming images and capture the whole of this visually interesting video. Check it out and think about how you could use your camera, a tripod, and some chalk to create the same kind of vibe for your own favorite songs...
