Congrats the to the students above whose work will be featured in the next edition of Celebrating Art. Last year we had four students receive recognition. Good luck to these students as their work goes onto another round of competition, where they could win $100.
In addition to current students having success in this latest competition, I recently found out that SchoolArts Magazine has published a piece by Jacob Mahoney in the January issue.
We have had several students featured in SchoolArts over the past year.
Jessica Marsh had her work featured in the August/September issue from earlier this school year; Tena Baar and Jordyn Horton both had work featured in an article I had written last April.
SchoolArts Magazine has been a leading Art Education magazine since 1901.
BCWMS Visual Arts students will also be featured in the 2013 McGraw Hill editions of ArtTalk and Exploring Art. I worked as a contributor to Exploring Art and look forward to seeing the book when it comes out!
