perspective

Students worked on perspective drawing today as we took to the halls to draw from observation.

This is always a fun project because we get to move out of the art room and see concepts that apply to places we would otherwise not pay much attention to observing.

7th grade students are working on 1 point perspective and 8th grade students are using 2 points. Can you see where the vanishing point is in this hallway?

Hi, Janine! I attended the AEAI conference this weekend, and enjoyed your presentation. I am glad to have discovered your blog; you have some wonderful ideas, and your students are doing beautiful work. Hallways are great places to learn about perspective! My 6th grade students just finished working with perspective, so it is neat to see how you are teaching the concept!
