I found out yesterday that I was selected as a 2011 PBS Innovative Teacher 2nd place winner!
To be considered, teachers had to apply to the awards program and explain how they innovate in the classroom and submit a video as evidence of a project they have taught. I used the elements and principles infomercials that last semester students made (which we are also working on with current students) as the example of how I am innovative in my teaching.
I am very excited and proud to have been selected among the hundreds of entries nationwide.
