7th grade students are making their Photoshop Animations into movies with this software and 8th grade students are making their infomercials on the elements and principles of design.
Using this collaborative project to get students creating and communicating with others is not only fun, but very applicable to the real world.
Since when has anyone tried to do something truly great all on their own? Using video production in the classroom as a way to teach content also allows students to see how to work with others, solve problems, and create products to communicate with a larger audience.
This is the second year I have taught video editing as a part of the Middle School Visual Arts curriculum and I am always amazed at the creativity and technical skills these students demonstrate as a result!
