Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Want more art? Consider taking some additional classes through Kendall. It allows you an opportunity to meet new people who enjoy art as much as you do!

Uban Institute of Contemporary Art

UICA is also located in downtown GR and offers youth programs such as "Artworks" to students 14-21 who are interested in the arts. If you are interested, you will want to check out their site and fill out an application. In addition to the classes, this resource has some awesome examples of contemporary artists that you should check out.

Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park

This is a great place to visit! I captured this image last Spring, when Chihuly was on display. Jim Dine is going to be featured this year with a retrospective of his work. I highly encourage you to visit this venue (they are even open late on Tuesdays). Who knows - we might even bump into each other there!

National Gallery of Art Kid's Zone

SumoPaint online editor

If you like Photoshop, but do not want to spend all of your money on the program - SumoPaint offers you an answer! It is a great online editing program that has a very similar look and function of Photoshop. It is Campbell approved!

Flux Time Studio - Animation Website

Students learn how to animate using Photoshop in class. This website allows you to animate online and share your animation with others via email and other websites. It is pretty basic, but good for those just starting to animate!
