Chuck Close Response

Chuck Close is an American photorealistic potrait artist. We are currently working on a self-portrait that uses a similar process as Close. What the three videos below. What do you think of his process? How does his product match the way he makes it? How does his personal history affect his artwork? If you could ask Close a question, what would it be and why?

Go to this link and look at the work created from the last project. Choose two pieces to critique from any of the classes. Remember to be descriptive in your responses to the work (do not just say if you like it or not, but why or how it achieves success).  Use first names when responding (along with your block ID), and do not put your email.
